Alexander B. Haas

Alex Haas, born in New Hampshire in 1988, is a fine artist specializing in printmaking and drawing. He earned his Bachelor's degree in printmaking from Bradley University under the mentorship of Professor Oscar J. Gillespie in 2010. Following graduation, Alex traveled extensively, honing his craft in cities like New York, Chicago, San Diego, and Taipei.

In 2014, Alex moved to Keelung, Taiwan, where he spent a year teaching and enriching his artistic perspective. On June 27, 2015, Alex endured a life-altering event, suffering severe burns over 90% of his body due to a dust explosion. Despite this traumatic experience, he made an incredible recovery with the help of dedicated medical professionals and the unwavering support of loved ones.

Now back in the US, Alex channels his experiences into his art, exploring themes of memory and time. His work often features clouds, mountains, and forests, creating harmonious landscapes that reflect his travels. Through his art, Alex delves into the distortion of memory and perception, influenced by his extensive medical treatments and recovery journey.
